The two devastating Bryan Mbeumo partnerships set to form at Old Trafford

Manchester United fans are eagerly awaiting their second signing of the summer transfer window.

The summer transfer window is open, and Manchester United wasted no time announcing their first signing.

At the beginning of the window, United announced Matheus Cunha as a new signing after reaching an agreement with Wolves for the Brazilian forward.

Cunha scored 17 goals for Wolves last season and will be coming into a United side that has struggled in front of goal for at least two seasons.

On top of that, United finished 15th in the Premier League last season and lost the Europa League final. There’s a lot of room for improvement with Cunha expected to help United score more goals.

Ruben Amorim will plan for more additions to strengthen his squad ahead of the 2025/26 season. Since signing Cunha, United have emerged as frontrunners in the race for Bryan Mbeumo.

Bryan Mbeumo could form two formidable partnerships at Manchester United

Reports linking Brentford forward Mbeumo to United are heating up.

Mbeumo is prioritising a move to United, despite being heavily linked to Newcastle and Liverpool in recent months.

It is also understood that Mbeumo is demanding £250k a week to leave Brentford, with talks underway between the clubs in search of an agreement.

Should Mbeumo get his move to Old Trafford, the Cameroonian has two partnerships he can be excited about forming at his new club.

Mbeumo is likely to be tasked with one of the No.10 roles in Amorim’s team, alongside new signing Cunha, but United will also have plenty of depth in that department moving forward as a result of his potential arrival.

The Premier League duo scored a combined 37 goals last season, which can be compared to United’s scoring output throughout the campaign.

Amorim will also look to take advantage of Mbeumo’s versatility if he is successful in landing his target.

Mbeumo could also link up with Amad Diallo on the right flank, with United’s head coach hopeful of having goal contributions from multiple players.

United’s first team lacked chemistry last term, and there wasn’t enough of a connection between the players on the pitch. It helps if we sign players suited to playing with one another.

That is why a deal to sign Mbeumo makes sense for United this summer.

Brentford could lose top scorer

It would be a huge blow for Brentford to lose Mbeumo this summer.

Not only did Mbeumo score 20 goals last season, but he was also Brentford’s top scorer.

Yoane Wissa ranked second with 19 goals, while Kevin Schade was third with 11 goals.
