Speaking to Sky Sports, former England captain Beckham admitted that he is optimistic about United after Amorim has seen his side improve in recent months.
“I think there’s signs of the manager turning things around,” he said.
“He’s tweaked a few things and we are coming into a few better results, but there’s still a long way to go and there’s still a few games that we’re not playing as we all like to see.
“But I think we’ve got a good manager there and he’s changing things slowly.”

Ruben Amorim’s men have lost only once in their last five Premier League matches, which came in United’s 1-0 defeat to 10-man Everton at Old Trafford last week.
Despite United’s shock setback against Everton, the Red Devils hit the road and bounced back with their superb 2-1 comeback win against Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Ferguson, who stepped down as United manager in 2013, hinted at seeing the same “signs” as Beckham, only a month prior to the ex-Real Madrid superstar’s remarks.

Speaking to Raceday RTV in November, the United icon said: “There are signs, the manager has had some good signs.”
Ferguson added: “I hope the manager gets a bit of success because at United you need to have success – the signs are getting better.
“I think back-to-back wins is something teams like United should always expect. But having gone through a cycle where the improvement has to come by waiting and being patient, they’ll enjoy it now.”
Amorim is far from being in a position where he can be complacent and only a dip in form could see the pressure immediately pile back on the Portuguese coach.
However, what Beckham and Ferguson are seeing about United’s playing style under Amorim’s tactics should be a clear-cut sign of optimism for Red Devils supporters.
