A Manchester United striker of old who had serious issues scoring in the Premier League for United was Diego Forlan.
Coming into the fixture against Liverpool, Forlan didn’t have a single Premier League goal to his name under the Red Devils. But this quickly changed against United’s rivals.
Forlan struck twice in three minutes to help Manchester United win 2-1 at Anfield. His first was an absolute gift, with Jerzy Dudek having an absolute howler which Forlan happily gobbled up.
However, the second was particularly impressive. A thumping strike from outside the box gave Dudek simply no chance as the Uruguayan put United ahead.
