Manchester United are considering interest from PSV Eindhoven in winger Facundo Pellistri.

Facundo Pellistri has just three start in all competitions for Manchester United this season, and interest is growing in his signature.

Permanent and loan offers could be considered, with PSV Eindhoven joining Villarreal and LA Galaxy in pursuit of the winger, The Mail reports.

PSV’s interest is initially for a loan move, this could develop into a permanent switch later down the line, which could create a real opportunity for Manchester United.

Johan Bakayoko replacement

Manchester United are reported to be keen on a PSV Eindhoven winger, Johan Bakayoko.

A post on X from SPORT1 journalist Christopher Michel in late December claimed Bakayoko is a player Manchester United admire, with a view to a potential move in summer 2024.

The Belgian right-winger is enjoying a breakthrough campaign at PSV, and is only 20-years-old.

PSV would be looking at around £35 million for Bakayoko. He has scored four goals and provided nine assists so far this season, and also has a goal and two assists for his country.

Manchester United advantage

Manchester United could land a major discount on Bakayoko’s asking price by throwing Pellistri into the deal.

In the process, United would be serving PSV up a ready-made replacement, who will get time bed into the Eredivisie on loan.

There could also be a resale potential for PSV too, who could expect to sell Pellistri in the future for a higher price than whatever they might pay Manchester United.

Cashing in on Pellistri to sign Bakayoko could end up being a masterstroke for Manchester United, ditching a player who Erik ten Hag does not rate highly enough to be a regular starter – he has selected him in his line-up just four times in two seasons.

A recent report from Caught Offside reported Liverpool have their sights on Bakayoko as a successor for Mohamed Salah.

United could steal a march on Jurgen Klopp’s side by tying up Pellistri’s switch to PSV and starting negotiations for the Belgian winger early.

There are several clubs interested in Pellistri, and when weighing up the winger’s next move, PSV offers an upside unlike the others.
