The World Cup has already thrown up various breakout stars, but only one has prompted a declaration that he’s ready for a top club.

From Ayyoub Bouaddi to Christ Oulai and Ayase Ueda, Man Utd are getting to see exciting players in action who can force a pivot in transfer thinking.

One such player has four goals and assists in three games now and is emerging as a true breakout superstar.

Interestingly, he was tipped for a top club before he started putting in performances like these.

Man Utd’s Premier League fixtures for 2026/27 have now been CONFIRMED – What do you think?

Johan Manzambi is taking the World Cup by storm

The Switzerland team weren’t really marked as favourites by anyone, but thanks to 20-year-old Johan Manzambi, they are putting rivals on notice.

After getting a goal and an assist to push Switzerland past Canada with a 2-1 victory, Manzambi has four goal involvements in three games.

Switzerland drew their opening game against Qatar, and coincidentally, that was the one game where the youngster didn’t start.

He scored twice against Bosnia and Herzegovina in a 4-1 win, and his exploits from attacking midfield keep bamboozling defences.

Manzambi has followed up a breakout season at Freiburg with an even better performance at the World Cup, truly taking the World Cup by storm.

He’s proving that those who tipped him to be ready for a top club were absolutely right.

Manzambi to Man Utd will complete “top club” prediction

After Manzambi’s brace against Bosnia, the Swiss National Team director, Pierluigi Tami, declared that Manzambi is ready for a top club.

Freiburg won’t be happy with that statement, but they can also look at him as an asset they can turn a huge profit on.

Tami said: “He’s ready for the next step. The biggest difference at the big clubs is the competition—and he doesn’t need to be afraid of that. Many doors will be open to him if he continues to perform like this.”

As expected, Man Utd have already been credited with an interest in Manzambi, and those flames will only rise further if he continues his form.

Attacking midfielder isn’t exactly a priority position for United, but if the opportunity arises for them to do a deal on their terms, they wouldn’t miss out on it.

Manzambi to Man Utd will complete Tami’s “ready for the next step” prediction.
