Ruben Amorim marked his first anniversary as Manchester United manager this month after he left Sporting CP and replaced Erik ten Hag at the club in 2024.
The 40-year-old Portuguese coach has been backed by Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, both in the transfer market and publicly in support, since his reign commenced.

Speaking to Sky Sports, former England international Paul Scholes explained what he feels would make the ‘perfect’ United midfielder in his eyes.
“It’s a little bit different when I played because you hear these number 6s, number 8s, number 10s, I suppose, come into that midfield role as well,” he said.
“You can attack, you can defend, you can be part of everything. That’s your job as a midfield player for Manchester United.”
