Manchester United are back to winning ways with a victory at Fulham.

After what was a miserable week as a Manchester United fan, supporters had something to smile about as Erik ten Hag‘s side won 1-0 at Craven Cottage.

It was Bruno Fernandes who was the hero. His last-gasp strike ensured United got all three points, in what was really another drab performance.

One man who didn’t necessarily get many plaudits was Andre Onana – who has seen a tremendous turn of form over his past few games.

Onana has been fantastic since his return from the international break.

Aside from the game against Newcastle United where he shipped three goals, which weren’t really his fault, he’s been in good form.

In these games, he’s also made some vital saves. The penalty against Copenhagen is his finest moment in red thus far, and the save from Erling Haaland’s close-range header was nothing short of world-class.

His most recent outing at Fulham was also very good.

Andre Onana deserves apologies as loud as his disrespect

It’s funny how everything goes quiet when a player takes a turn in form.

Onana was one of the most scrutinized players in world football a couple of weeks back. Pundits and rival fans were always ready to pounce on any single mistake he’s made.

Now he’s putting in some good shifts, there seems to be no one talking about the Cameroonian shot-stopper.

This hardly seems fair – the apology should be as loud as the disrespect.

Manchester United are finally beginning to see the good in Onana

For a good while, Manchester United fans were perplexed as to why Onana was brought in. Slowly but surely – he’s proving his worth.

It was always going to be a tough job following David de Gea and was naturally going to take a period of adjustment, but we for one can see gradual improvement from the man between the sticks.

We’d still like to see a little more in regards to playing with his feet. Considering he was bought for this purpose, it hasn’t been made apparent. Then again, this probably says more about the players in front of him.

Baby steps. It’s good to see his better qualities shining through.
