Wilfried Zaha has reacted to Galatasaray’s 3-3 draw against Manchester United in the Champions League.

Manchester United let their lead slip in Istanbul and a Wilfried Zaha-inspired Galatasaray brought themselves back into the game.

Erik ten Hag’s side struggled to control the game in the second half after such a good first 45 minutes at the RAMS Park stadium.

Wilfried Zaha was in inspired form but with former teammate Aaron Wan-Bissaka up against him, the Ivorian struggled but when Diogo Dalot came on, the former United winger came to life in the Champions League clash.

Zaha reacts to draw

Writing on his Instagram, Zaha said on the draw with United: “Atmosphere was electric from our amazing fans as usual which gave us the motivation to keep going no matter the score! It’s all in our hands now!”

The Ivorian gave Diogo Dalot a lot of issues before being substituted which did look to be a bizarre decision from Galatasaray boss Okan Buruk and the attacking intent from the hosts evaporated with that change.

Zaha netted at Old Trafford in the 3-2 win for the Turkish side and was too strong for Dalot on that occasion and at times during the clash in Istanbul, the Ivorian caused the Portuguese defender the same problems.

United’s struggles to deal with Zaha

The winger completed 71 per cent of his passes as well as 66 per cent of his dribbles with the Ivorian causing constant problems for the Red Devils.

Wan-Bissaka usually is able to deal with the threat of wingers who are willing to take on the Englishman but Dalot, when he came on, struggled to deal with the 68-goal former Premier League ace.

Wan-Bissaka should never have been taken off in the encounter. Dalot looked good going forward but the defensive side of his game was lacking which allowed the Turkish side to get back into the game.

Zaha has been a tormenter of United in the past and this proved to be the case again in Istanbul. United are on the brink of being knocked out of the competition following the calamitous draw in Turkey.
