Cristiano Ronaldo pictured training ahead of Villarreal clash
Manchester United trained at Carrington today ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League clash against Villarreal at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed at today’s pre-match press conference that club captain Harry Maguire could be out for a few weeks and Luke Shaw was doubtful for the clash against Unai Emery’s side.
The club has released a gallery of images following today’s training session which included shots of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Edison Cavani and Raphael Varane.
Solskjaer’s side will be keen to avenge last season’s Europa League final defeat against the Yellow Submarine and kickstart our Champions League campaign following the opening game defeat in Switzerland.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
After back-to-back home defeats against West Ham and Aston Villa, United will be eager to get back to winning ways under the lights at Old Trafford for what promises to be an electric Champions League evening.
It will be Cristiano Ronaldo’s first Champions League game back at Old Trafford since April 2009 when we beat Arsenal 1-0 in the semi-final first leg thanks to a John O’Shea goal.
United have been boosted by the news that Villarreal will be without their talisman Gerard Moreno for the trip to Manchester.
