Manchester United striker Rasmus Hojlund is already displaying leadership qualities as well as goalscoring ones.

We are glad to say Manchester United have a proper striker on our hands. Rasmus Hojlund looks like the real deal.

The Denmark international scored twice for Manchester United, powering home a header, before scoring a stunning solo goal.

Sadly it wasn’t enough. Manchester United went on to lose the game 3-2. And at the final whistle, Hojlund showed what he was all about.

Rasmus Hojlund consoles Andre Onana

Rasmus Hojlund made a beeline for goalkeeper Andre Onana at the final whistle to console him.

Onana was once again a big contributory factor towards Manchester United’s defeat, conceding seven goals in two Champions League games.

His errant pass led to Casemiro committing a foul inside the box, and a red card. Minutes later 10 man United conceded.

It’s clear Onana is not in a good moment right now. His big transfer to Manchester United has not worked out at all so far, and now the pressure is on.

Rasmus Hojlund offers hope

Onana may be feeling sorry for himself, but fellow new signing Rasmus Hojlund is clearly full of confidence.

The way he took his two goals was outstanding, and once United stop leaking them at the other end, he will become an even bigger asset.

Hojlund is offering some comfort to United fans right now, as well as Onana.

His actions at the end of the game speak volumes about his personality, and shows he is a leader, who will have the respect of the whole group.
