Marcus Rashford has sent a clear-cut message to fans after the Manchester United star failed to make the England squad for the September international break.
The 26-year-old Manchester United star missed England’s Euro 2024 campaign in Germany in the summer after Gareth Southgate snubbed him from the squad.
Marcus Rashford’s form at Old Trafford fell off a cliff last season, with the United star scoring only eight times in 43 appearances across all competitions.
Gareth Southgate, who stepped down from his role in the aftermath of Euro 2024, was forced to drop the England international out of his squad for the Euros.
Lee Carsley has stepped up as interim manager after Southgate’s departure and the 50-year-old coach snubbed Rashford for the matches in the September break.
England kicked off their Nations League campaign with a 2-0 win over the Republic of Ireland at the Aviva Stadium before facing Finland at Wembley on Tuesday evening.

Man Utd star Rashford amid England matches
Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford has endured a tough start to the current Premier League season under manager Erik ten Hag.
Rashford has failed to score or register a single assist in United’s opening three Premier League matches of the 2024-25 campaign.
The England international was also met with criticism last month after his missed chances in the penalty shootout defeat to Manchester City in the Community Shield.
Despite his run of form so far, Erik ten Hag has kept faith with Rashford and has backed the Three Lions star to turn things around at Old Trafford.
Rashford took to social media on Sunday and posted a compilation of him training amid the criticism and mounting pressure he has received over his form this season.
Posting the video, the United star simply wrote on Instagram: “Raw material.”
Ten Hag defends Rashford’s form
Ten Hag took aim at Alan Shearer ahead of the international break after the Premier League legend’s criticism of Rashford this season.
Speaking before the 3-0 defeat to Liverpool, he said: “Everyone gets criticism; it doesn’t matter what we are doing, if we are winning, if we are losing.
“If I take a player off, the conclusion is I was not happy with him. I was very happy with Rashy in pre-season, against Fulham and also against Brighton.
“It is not why I took him off because his performances or level were not right. No.
“We had to rotate and we have good players on the bench as well, you bring new energy.
“There will be rotation and if then there is the conclusion the player is not performing, [it] can be sometimes but definitely it wasn’t in this case. Stupid analysis in this case from the pundit [Shearer].”
