Wes Brown believes Saturday’s defeat to Fulham was a ‘tough game’ for Omari Forson.
Manchester United’s undefeated start to 2024 came to an end on Saturday in a frustrating 2-1 defeat to Fulham.
The London club were deserving of their win after Calvin Bassey fired them into the lead before Alex Iwobi grabbed a stoppage-time winner.
Harry Maguire had levelled late on and United did look the likelier side to get the win before Fulham’s late counter.
Erik ten Hag was without seven first-team players for the match after Rasmus Hojlund and Luke Shaw joined the injury list in the week, leading to a makeshift starting XI.
Teenage forward Omari Forson came in for his first start but was hooked after 53 minutes.
United great Wes Brown has now given his verdict on the youngster’s display.

Speaking to MUTV, Brown said: “He didn’t do anything wrong it was a tough game.
“He did his bit, the manager changed it around, you can’t blame anything on him.”
Omari Forson can’t let it get him down
It almost certainly wasn’t the full debut Forson was dreaming of on Friday night before making his first United start.
Injuries may have created the opening for him but Forson has been in the first team on merit this season.
The 19-year-old has stood out in the Under-21s and looked promising in cameos for the seniors, grabbing an assist on his Premier League debut against Wolves.
But against Fulham, Forson was noticeably out of his depth.
Ten Hag had to tell him to calm down early on after he made a rash challenge and he had little impact on the game before he was taken off just after half-time.
But it’s nearly impossible to perform when none of your teammates are as well.
It was a debut to forget for Forson but there’s no reason for it to get him down too much. More chances will come.
