Joshua Zirkzee has struggled since joining Manchester United in the summer.
It started in dream fashion as he scored a match-winner in stoppage time on his competitive Manchester United debut, but the goals haven’t continued to flow since then.
Joshua Zirkzee has managed six goal contributions (4 goals, 2 assists) in 27 games this season, with four of them coming in the Premier League.
The Dutch forward is low on confidence as a result, and it doesn’t help that he has continued to be linked with a move to one of Italy’s biggest clubs.
Juventus were among the unsuccessful clubs chasing Zirkzee’s signature in the summer as he opted to switch from Bologna for Manchester.
He has had to deal with a lot of pressure at Old Trafford, with additional setbacks such as Erik ten Hag getting sacked. It doesn’t help a player when the player who signed them is sacked months later.
Zirkzee is now failing to prove his worth to Ruben Amorim.

Juventus revisit Joshua Zirkzee transfer
Zirkzee attracted lots of interest last summer and his former manager, Thiago Motta, may look to unite with the forward in Turin.
Motta became Juventus manager before the start of the season and Zirkzee’s switch to United has not been enough to cool speculation.
Juventus Football Director Cristiano Giuntoli has spoken publicly about their interest in Zirkzee, promising to look for opportunities in the market to strengthen Motta’s side.
“We are paying attention to any interesting opportunities when it comes to incoming players, but we will add someone at the back,” Giuntoli told Radio Serie A, as quoted by JuventusNews24.
“Zirkzee? There is no point in naming names, we will pay attention to the opportunities.”
Juventus are currently sixth in Serie A after a topsy-turvy start to the season.
Joshua Zirkzee is running out of time at Manchester United
The pressure is mounting on Zirkzee to perform for United.
The Dutch forward was hooked by Amorim in the 32nd minute of United’s 2-0 defeat to Newcastle United at Old Trafford on Monday night. It came as the latest blow to Zirkzee as he runs out of time to impress his new coaches.
Zirkzee cut a disgruntled figure as he rushed down the touchline after being cheered at his exit by a section of fans.
| Games | Goals | Assists |

While Zirkzee can turn things around at United, he needs to provide more goal contributions – otherwise, the club will be left with no other choice but to bite the bullet and cash in.
Rasmus Hojlund is ahead of Zirkzee in the pecking order but that makes little difference because United are still without a recognised goalscorer.
