United signed the Belgium international from Royal Antwerp for an initial £18.1m transfer fee and Lammens has been a commanding presence in the 2025-26 season.
Bryan Mbeumo, Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha all had strong debut seasons at Old Trafford after arriving at United in the same 2025 summer window as Lammens.

Wayne Rooney on Man Utd’s 2025-26 Premier League season under Michael Carrick at Old Trafford
United finished third in the Premier League table under Michael Carrick, who returned to Old Trafford in January as the Red Devils’ interim head coach.
Michael Carrick has since been appointed the permanent United manager after his transformative impact for the Red Devils in the 2025-26 campaign.
United legend Rooney feels that former England teammate Carrick has sparked powerful feelings in Man Utd fans over the future of the Premier League club.
“I think where Man United have been over the last few years has been very difficult for the fans to find some happiness in it,” he explained.
“But I think since Michael went in, I think there’s hope and belief again within the Man United fans.”
Carrick has overseen United’s return to the Champions League for the 2026-27 campaign after the Red Devils’ turnaround in form in the 2025-26 season.
