United legend Rooney believes that Arsenal forward Jesus should be making it clear to Arsenal boss Arteta that he should be starting against the Red Devils.
“I think if I was [sic] Gabriel Jesus now, I’d be there saying I want to start the game on Sunday,” he added.
“I’ve put myself in a position where he’s come here, he scored two goals, he played really well tonight.
“So, if I was [sic] him, I’d be putting it in the manager’s mind that I really want to play.”
United and Arsenal’s Premier League clash is slated for a 4:30pm kick-off time at the Emirates on Sunday.
