Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof lavished praise on fellow centre-back Lisandro Martinez during today’s press conference.
United’s number two joined Erik ten Hag during the pre-match press conference ahead of tomorrow night’s Europa League clash against Omonia Nicosia.

The former Benfica man has started United’s last two games alongside the Argentine after Raphael Varane picked up an ankle injury against Manchester City ten days ago.
With Lindelof, who replaced the Frenchman during the 6-3 defeat at the Etihad Stadium, carrying out press conference duties alongside Ten Hag, it’s highly likely that the 28-year-old will make his 201st appearance against the Cypriot side tomorrow night.
Victor Lindelof praises Lisandro Martinez
During the press conference, Lindelof, who was brought to Old Trafford by Jose Mourinho, was asked what it’s like to play alongside the former Ajax defender.
Lindelof said: “Since he came, he’s been performing at a good level.
“He [Lisandro Martinez] is a fantastic player, he’s very good with the ball.
“I’ve played two games with him now and we did a good game [against Everton].”

Martinez showcased his ability to penetrate the opposition’s defensive lines by putting on a passing clinic in Cyprus on Thursday.
According to WhoScored, the 24-year-old registered the most forward passes in a Europa League game this season.
Sweden’s national team captain was also asked in the press conference whether playing alongside a left-footed centre-back has an impact on the way he plays.
“I wouldn’t say it [Martinez being left-footed] changes the way I approach it,” says Lindelof.
“I’m just trying to play my game and the way I can help the team; it doesn’t matter whether the partner is left-footed or right-footed, it doesn’t change how I play my game.”
After a frustrating start to the season that was hampered by injury, Lindelof will be hoping to retain his place in the starting line-up despite World Cup winner returning to action at Goodison Park.
Ten Hag has shown during his short tenure at Old Trafford that he will reward players who perform well.
