Lifelong Manchester United fan Usain Bolt is excited by Ruben Amorim’s appointment at Manchester United.
Ruben Amorim was welcomed to Carrington on Monday and he has brought with him a wave of excitement and hope.
We are exactly one week away from Ruben Amorim‘s first match against Ipswich Town in the Premier League, but he is yet to take training after being made to wait for his work visa.

During Amorim’s first interview as United manager, he made it very clear that his priority early on is to create a clear identity.
Perhaps the biggest criticism during Erik ten Hag’s tenure as United boss was the lack of a clear style of play. That is something Amorim is keen to avoid.

Usain Bolt delighted by Ruben Amorim appointment
Amorim is expected to implement a 3-4-3 formation at United – a system he had huge success with in Portugal.
It will be a huge shift for the squad, who will have plenty to learn under Amorim, but it is also a sign that United’s new head coach will stick to his ways.
That is music to the ears of Usain Bolt, who is confident that Amorim can bring a clear identity to Old Trafford.
When asked if he is excited by Amorim’s appointment, Bolt told Sky Sports: “Yeah definitely, I’m really excited.
“The fact he has beat Pep twice is wonderful and I heard his first interview and it seems like he is going to bring identity to the club.
“That is what I think we were missing – identity. So I’m excited to see if the players can work with him, stand behind him and really do a good job.”
Ruben Amorim must stick to his plan at Man United
United have experimented with a back three under previous managers but it never stuck.
Amorim will have to succeed where Louis van Gaal failed after the Dutchman abandoned his three-at-the-back plans just months into his time at United.
Ultimately, in modern football, a clear identity and style of play is more important than anything and that is something that United have been lacking.
Amorim has developed a system at Sporting that is capable of beating anyone – he proved that by demolishing Manchester City 4-1 in the Champions League.
Even if there is a rocky start, Amorim must stick with his game plan.
