He provided two first half assists in Marcelo Bielsa’s first game in charge, a superb performance which points to a bright future for his side.
Pellistri made his long-awaited Manchester United debut earlier in 2023, and also made a first start in the Europa League.
But he fell out of favour again late in the season, and likely needs a loan move next season to kick on.

ESPN reported that Pellistri provided the ‘highest points’ of the game, and described how his dribbling ‘unbalanced’ the Nicaragua defence.
AS noted how Pellistri led Uruguay’s counter-attacks, expecting this to become a key feature for Marcelo Bielsa’s side in the future.
