Manchester United have just sealed a new contract for Bruno Fernandes and are apparently set for talks with Luke Shaw.
Fernandes penned a deal which could keep him at Old Trafford until 2027, sealing his future before he knew who the new manager would be.
It looks like being Erik ten Hag, but before he or any other new boss are through the door, Fabrizio Romano says United are plotting talks with Shaw in the weeks ahead.

What’s the hurry?
Even tying down Bruno before the new manager was announced was unorthodox but he has been one of United’s best performers since he arrived.
It seems likely any United manager would view him as important and the Red Devils clearly wanted to reflect his status at the club.
But Shaw has had a poor season, enduring a hangover after Euro 2020, where he of course scored in the final, and suffering injury problems too.
There is more of a chance that a new manager might want a new left-back, or push Alex Telles to the front of the queue.
United can keep the situation under control until the summer of 2024, meaning that Shaw would have two years left come the summer.
The summer is probably the right time to start looking at the situation, but it should be with the input of the new manager.
United shouldn’t be in a hurry with this one. If Shaw can get back to last season’s form, then he is up there with the best in his role in the Premier League.
But this campaign hasn’t one which would have you falling over yourself to tie Shaw down, and the new manager really should take a look at Shaw up close before a long-term deal is sealed.
