Manchester United talent Tahith Chong is being lined up by Greek side Olympiakos.
Greek outlet SDNA report the young Dutchman is a target for the club, who finished second in their division this season.
The 19-year-old made his debut for United this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Too early to rule it in or out
We hope, we really hope, that Chong will get a prominent role at United next season.
Solskjaer gave him a chance this season, but it wasn’t much of one. Chong is still waiting for his first United start.
47 minutes of football was a poor return for Chong, considering United have such few options on the wing.
What happens with Chong depends on a) who United sign this summer, and b) how he gets on in pre-season.
United are almost certain to sign wingers. The questions is how many.
If Chong finds his path blocked further, then a loan might not actually be a bad option long term.
Olympiakos is a good team for him to go to. He would get regular football at a competitive level, competing for a title, and they are in the Champions League qualifying rounds.
We want to see Chong starring at United next season. In the Europa League especially he could be needed as Solskjaer rotates the squad.
But it’s too early to rule a departure out just yet.
If pre-season passes and Chong isn’t getting the looks from Solskjaer he needs, with new players brought in, then it might be in his interests to head out for the year and return in 2020 as an even better player.
