Andre Onana made his Old Trafford bow today as Manchester United beat Lens 3-1, post-game he spoke to media.
Onana played an immaculate game as he made six saves to help United to victory.
He was however let down, as a poor pass by Diogo Dalot, gave Lens the chance to score from distance.
Besides that he was brilliant though, boasting an 87% pass completion rate, including eight long balls.
United’s new sweeper keeper was in full force and showcased all his talents as he achieved an impressive 7.7 SofaScore rating.
Onana was a commanding figure in goal, and was terrific leading from the back and inspiring confidence.

Onana wants all the pressure
Speaking post-game to MUTV, Onana described his feelings following his Old Trafford debut.
He suggested that despite the impressive result, improvements are needed.

“I am happy with the win. But we can always be better. There are some things we have to try and fix.”
He was asked about the goal conceded and where he thought the blame would lie.
He responded that he takes all the blame: “I’m responsible for everything. I’m the big man at the back so I take all the critics and all the pressure for me.”
Onana impresses again
Despite no clean sheets yet, this has had little to do with United’s new number one.
He has been let down multiple times by sloppy defending which leaves him in positions which give the opposition the edge.
Testament to his style being so popular with fans, for the first few passes he made, a huge ovation was heard.
He will only get better with time as he drills the defence into making less mistake, but all we know for now is he is going to be a wonderful signing.
