Reports breaking last night suggest Manchester United are confident of transforming their team with two of the best left footed British players – Ryan Sessegnon and Gareth Bale.
The Guardian report that United are set to make a £25m bid for Fulham’s Sessegnon; the left-back has impressed this season and has attracted attention from all of the country’s top clubs.
Meanwhile, the Star claim that Gareth Bale has already told his Real Madrid team-mates he will be leaving for United at the end of the season. Bale operates, normally, from the right hand side or through the middle, and the European Champions know that the Welshman is their best option of raising a significant transfer fee to help with their own plans of regeneration in the summer.
Of the two transfers, the Guardian seem to be most trustworthy with their report, but the Bale links to United have been substantiated by Mourinho himself in the past, while Ed Woodward is a long time admirer of the player.
