Manchester United’s injury woes seem to be drying up, as one player returns to training in fitness race ahead of Brentford game.
Manchester United have been very unlucky this season with injuries. Key players from across the pitch have been out, which hasn’t helped Erik ten Hag recover from a poor start to the season.
Most worryingly has been the left-back options which have been depleted seriously in the opening months of the campaign. Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia were already out injured before deadline day. This prompted the signing of Sergio Reguilon, only he also arrived and quickly got injured.
This crisis in one position has been joined by a crisis on the wings, with Jadon Sancho and Antony both missing substantial periods for differing reasons. Now the Brazilian seems set for his return to the starting line-up.

Antony could start
Antony has been away for over a month with legal matters in Brazil to attend to, however he has since returned to Old Trafford.
He made a cameo from the bench against Galatasaray on Tuesday late on, but now according to Samuel Luckhurst, Ten Hag has suggested he could be in line for a start on Saturday.
“I think he’s [Antony] ready for a start].”
His return will be welcomed by the Dutch boss, as the position has been so unsettled since he left, with countless names featuring there in lieu of the regular.
Reguilon nears return for United
A far more important return than it seems, Reguilon returning could have a game-changing effect on United.
This potential return came according to Rob Dawson who said: “Sergio Reguilon trained with Man United this morning so there’s a possibility he will be fit to return this weekend.”
The possibility was however shot down by Erik ten Hag who said “not for tomorrow.” When he quizzed on Region’s return to fitness in his pre-match press conference as reported by Manchester Evening News.
A return after the international break however does now seem likely for the Spaniard.
