Manchester United have been linked with a last minute move for Adrien Rabiot of Paris St Germain.
Rabiot, out of contract next season, seems possibly one of the unlikeliest target of rumours for United given the other interests and priorities for Jose Mourinho and the fact that United have a well-stocked midfield.
That hasn’t stopped CalcioMercato linking the player to Old Trafford.
From One Football :
Manchester United’s mad scramble for more signings has reportedly seen them end up at Paris Saint-Germain’s door.
José Mourinho has been vociferous in his moaning this summer over the lack of investment in the squad.
But according to well-sourced PSG fan site Paris United, the Old Trafford outfit overnight enquired as to the availability of both Layvin Kurzawa and Adrien Rabiot.
Kurzawa has already been the subject of an approach from both Wolves and Tottenham over the past few days, whilst Rabiot has been heavily linked with Barcelona and AC Milan all summer.
It’s unclear what response United received, but it’s been reported widely that the French side’s president Nasser Al Khelaifi is desperate to keep hold of Rabiot, and sees him as one of the pillars of their midfield for years to come.
The midfielder has just one year on his contract though, so a massive bid from the Premier League outfit could well force their hand.
Kurzawa, meanwhile, could be easier to land, with PSG looking to move him on before launching a bid for Juventus defender Alex Sandro.
