Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was one of the heroes of the team’s dramatic 1-0 win over Copenhagen.

The hard work looked to have been done. Manchester United had almost earned a 1-0 win, a first Champions League win of the season, when the referee awarded a last ditch penalty against the Red Devils.
Incredibly, Andre Onana stepped up to deny Jordan Larsson’s spot-kick, and ensure Manchester United earned all three points.

He has been heavily criticised for his unconvincing start at Manchester United, which has been highlighted with notable errors in the club’s first two Champions League games.
His penalty save is a turning point, it wipes the slate clean. It was fantastic to see the players rally round him and celebrate at the end. He’s a true Manchester United player now.

Tyson Fury message to Andre Onana
Andre Onana’s message on Instagram drew celebratory responses from teammates Altay Bayindir and Sergio Reguilon.
And then there was a message from world boxing champion Tyson Fury, a Manchester United supporter.
Andre Onana saluted Tyson Fury’s message, clearly appreciating the celebratory encouragement.
As well as being a boxing great, Fury is a mental health advocate, who has spoken about bouncing back from the lows he has experienced, to reach new highs.
Onana has had a testing start at Manchester United, and looked crestfallen after the two early Champions League defeats. He is full of confidence now, seeing him pull off that save was a special moment.
