Renowned boxer Tyson Fury has never shied away from his admiration for Manchester United.

The two-time world champion has been welcomed with open arms to Old Trafford in the past, showing off his belts in front of a packed crowd.

Last month, the ‘Gypsy King’ announced his retirement from boxing with a video uploaded to Instagram, saying: “Hi everybody, I’m going to make this short and sweet.

“I’d like to announce my retirement from boxing. It’s been a blast; I’ve loved every minute of it.

“I’m going to end with this. Dick Turpin wore a mask. God bless everybody, see you on the other side. Get up!”

Having to spend less time preparing in the gym for fights, Fury may now get the opportunity to use his contacts to get tickets for more Manchester United games.

Fury appears to be enjoying the early stages of retirement.

The British boxing sensation took to social media this morning to show that he had breakfast with Sir Alex Ferguson at the Golden Triangle in Cheshire.

Fury would have been in awe to have been joined by Ferguson for his breakfast, having seen the Scot lift 13 Premier League titles, five FA Cups and two Champions League during his 26 years as United manager.

There aren’t many United fans like Fury who have been lucky enough to be in such a position.

Fury would have been able to get off-the-record opinions from Ferguson on United’s first team, his thoughts on Ruben Amorim, or maybe how he thinks Sir Jim Ratcliffe is doing as co-owner.

Ferguson would ensure that his United teams would have grit, brimming with determined players with a winning mentality.

It was a completely different scenario for Fury as he spent his career in a right fighting 1v1.

However, the iconic sporting pair wouldn’t have enjoyed as much success if it wasn’t for their character and willingness to fight.

Whereas at United, right now, the team is sat 15^th in the Premier League and struggling financially as Ineos introduce multiple cost-cutting measures.

Amorim’s job is to restore that fight at United and get back the team back to the top of English football.
