Casemiro is the man of the moment after his superb winning goal for Brazil against Switzerland last night.
The strike drew the applause of legends Roberto Carlos and Ronaldo in the crowd, while a watching Neymar hailed Casemiro as the best midfielder in the world.
The Manchester United star celebrated his goal with a message on Instagram and was deluged with responses.
Manchester United teammate Tyrell Malacia showed his respect for the midfielder, as did former Real Madrid teammate and Selecao colleague Marcelo.
There were further messages from Brazil teammates Marquinhos, Vinicius Jr – and World Cup winning legend Rivaldo, who showed his appreciation.

Further congratulatory messages to Casemiro came from Brazil’s 1994 World Cup winning goalkeeper Taffarel and midfielder Mauro Silva, Real Madrid’s Rodrgyo, and former Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva.
Casemiro is highly admired, and so he should be, he is a five times Champions League winner – and he has never lost a World Cup game.
He was suspended for Brazil’s 2018 World Cup exit against Belgium, and he will be keen to avoid the same fate this time around.
So far through two games Casemiro has managed to avoid a booking, but it is one extra reason to rest him for their final group match against Cameroon, with Brazil already qualified for the last 16.
