Two of Manchester United’s worst-ever flops run absolute riot in 6-0 masterclass

Manchester United have had some players that have seriously flopped over the years.

The likes of Angel Di Maria, Alexis Sanchez, Memphis Depay and Morgan Schneiderlin are but a few that spring to mind when we think of star-studded names that never lived up to the hype.

But two that arguably are up there as some of the worst-ever flops to ever grace Old Trafford have to be Bebe and Radamel Falcao.

They now remarkably play together in La Liga for Rayo Vallecano – and have just put on an absolute show in a 6-0 victory.

Bebe and Radamel Falcao dominate for Rayo Vallecano

Rayo Vallecano travelled today to play Atletico de Lugones in the Copa Del Ray, who are in a lower tier of Spanish football called the Primera Asturfútbol.

Vallecano are La Liga specialists and currently sit seventh in the division – so naturally this was going to be a romping.

It ended 6-0 to the away side and two players that absolutely thrived were Bebe and Falcao.

Bebe obtained the Man of the Match award thanks to two goals and 90 minutes under his 33-year-old belt.

Falcao managed 64 minutes, but in this time managed two goals. Not bad for a 37-year-old.

Bebe was given a 9.4 rating and Falcao a 9 – the two best players on the pitch by a mile.

Quite unlike their Manchester United days…

Bebe and Falcao weren’t exactly shining lights during their time at Old Trafford.

Bebe was brought in by Sir Alex Ferguson as an unheard-of youth prospect, splashing which was at the time a monumental £7m on the winger. He ended up making just seven appearances, scoring once.

Falcao when he joined the Red Devils was by all means already a superstar. Louis van Gaal secured his services on loan, but he was very disappointing. He netted four goals in 29 appearances before departing.

It is ridiculous that these two have even crossed paths, but nevertheless – it’s nice to see them thriving together as they come to the latter stages of their career.
