There were three former Manchester United men on show in a Saudi Pro League fixture on Saturday.
Al-Wehda took on Al Nassr FC in the 13th round of the Saudi League’s season, in what was an exciting four-goal game.
The game finished in Al Nassr’s favour, with the away side coming away from the tie as 3-1 victors.
The three former reds on the show? Cristiano Ronaldo, Alex Telles and Odion Ighalo – who all had parts to play in the fixture.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Alex Telles score as they defeat Odion Ighalo
It was former Manchester United left-back Telles who opened the scoring after 11 minutes. Remarkably, Ronaldo let him take a free-kick. This led to a finely whipped strike into the bottom left corner past a helpless Al-Wehda keeper.
The away side doubled their lead five minutes before halftime. Former Inter Milan midfielder Marcelo Brozovic got the assist for Abdulelah Al Amri to put Al Nassr two goals to the good.
It was Manchester United legend Ronaldo who got the third. A poor defensive header led to an easy finish for the Portuguese veteran, who made it a remarkable 30-goal involvement in 20 games for club and country this season.
Ighalo’s side did get a goal back on 81 minutes, but the Nigerian had a relatively quiet game, unable to make his usual impact.
Erik ten Hag departures thriving in Saudi Pro League
Telles was deemed surplus to requirements in the summer by Erik ten Hag. He left the Red Devils for just £4m to Ronaldo’s side.
The legendary striker obviously departed the year before, after the infamous Piers Morgan interview and Ten Hag fall-out – which is actually coming up to around a year ago now.
The pair seem to be having a much better time in the Middle East. Albeit at a much lower standard of football.
Still, United could have definitely done with a few Ronaldo goals this season. Or even cult hero Ighalo’s for that matter!
