Manchester United take on an in-form Galatasaray tonight, who head to Old Trafford believing they can win.
Out of form, Manchester United’s away day troubles have now spread to Old Trafford. United have lost two of the last three home games, with the team’s previous 31-game unbeaten run at the stadium quickly becoming a distant memory.
This gives Galatasaray extra reason to believe they can get a result tonight, and spring a Champions League upset.
The Turkish side have won six and drawn one of seven Turkish Super Lig games, fuelling them with confidence as they head to Old Trafford.

Galatasaray boss looking for win
Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk lost his last trip to Old Trafford 4-1, when manager of Istanbul Basaksehir. This came after he masterminded a 2-1 win over United at home.
Speaking ahead of the game to Turkish newspaper Milliyet, Buruk said: “It will be a difficult fight for us, but Galatasaray plays to win every match.
“We never have any other thoughts other than winning. We will go out on the field and do our best.”
Turkish expert tips Galatasaray victory
The prospect of Galatasaray winning against Manchester United is not far fetched.
They have a team packed with experience, including prolific goalscorer Mauro Icardi, while the likes of Wilfried Zaha, Lucas Torreira, and Davinson Sanchez, Tanguy Ndombele have all won at Old Trafford with Palace, Arsenal, and Tottenham in the Premier League.
Turkish journalist Nevzat Dindar told Milliyet he believes Galatasaray can head to United and pull off a win, especially as they are in such a good moment themselves.
He explained: “I am not pessimistic before the match tomorrow. The team’s potential is obvious. I think Galatasaray can get a good result. I felt that energy in the team too.
“Under normal circumstances, Manchester United is the favorite of the match, but Galatasaray is a team with potential. I think Galatasaray will win. This is partly due to the situation Manchester is in.”
His comments reflect the belief in the Galatasaray squad, sensing a vulnerability at Manchester United, and that is real reason for United to be wary.
