Manchester United have a fixture against Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League in mid-January.

Tottenham slipped to a home defeat to West Ham last night, continuing their dramatic slide in form.

While they were praised for drawing with City at the weekend, Tottenham have now lost four and drawn one of the past five games.

Manchester United are now level on points with Spurs, having won four of the last five matches.

Tottenham to be without Son Heung-Min

Tottenham Hotspur travel to Old Trafford on January 14 to play Manchester United in the Premier League, with the Red Devils looking to avenge the loss back in August.

One player they will be without is top goalscorer Son Heung-Min, who has nine goals this season, more than double his nearest teammate.

This is because Son will be heading to the Asian Cup with South Korea, with international coach Jurgen Klinsmann confirming his plans on ESPN.

Klinsmann said: “He will be gone from the second of January until hopefully the final on the tenth of February.”

He admitted it is, “not easy for the clubs to handle.”

Tottenham will be hoping to have James Maddison back from injury by then, but there are no guarantees.

Manchester United will be without African stars

While Son’s absence will be a blow to Tottenham, it is also a complicated period for Manchester United due to the African Cup of Nations, also taking place in January.

Players expected to be called up include Andre Onana and Sofyan Amrabat.

The hope is that United will have a few injury returnees by then, including Casemiro.

Tottenham meanwhile will also be without Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma, who will be heading to the AFCON too.
