Morocco are the surprise package of the World Cup, reaching the quarter-finals after knocking out Spain.
They progressed through their group by defeating Belgium and Canada and holding Croatia to a goalless draw.
In the last eight they will face Portugal, led by Manchester United stars Bruno Fernandes and Diogo Dalot.
So could any of Morocco’s stars catch Manchester United’s eye, just in time for the summer transfer window?

Three Morocco stars Manchester United could sign
Here is a look at three Morocco internationals whose World Cup performances could attract Manchester United…
Hakim Ziyech
Hakim Ziyech is the obvious answer here, having played under manager Erik ten Hag at Ajax, with great success.
Ziyech secured a £33 million move to Chelsea, where he has had a mixed time under different managers. A L’Equipe reporter linked Manchester United with a move for Ziyech back in the summer.
The winger plays in a position where United need added depth, and the 29-year-old could take some pressure off Antony, who picked up an injury after being picked in every game.
Ziyech only played five league matches for Chelsea this season. He has played a key role for Morocco at the World Cup, scoring once and providing one assist.
Yassine Bounou
Another position Manchester United are expected to strengthen in 2023 is goalkeeper, with David de Gea’s expensive contract set to expire.
Morocco goalkeeper Yassine Bounou is a possible replacement. The Mirror reported eight months ago that the shot-stopper was of interest to United.
Bounou famously foiled United in the 2020 Europa League semi-finals, producing an excellent display which helped eliminate Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper is under contract until 2025, and while he is thought to be happy in Sevilla, his World Cup performances will have stirred interest.

Sofyan Amrabat
Midfield star Sofyan Amrabat is one of the breakout stars of the 2022 World Cup, sending his value soaring.
Amrabat, 26, will be into the final 18 months of his Fiorentina contract in January, which could prompt the Serie A side to cash in.
He could be of use to United as a back-up to Casemiro, who cannot be expected to start every single game.
Fred’s contract is set to expire next summer, prompting a need for United to add an extra midfielder to the squad if he is allowed to leave. Amrabat would bring real quality.
