Jadon Sancho’s rather public fallout with Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has caused tension between the pair and there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight.
The English winger, according to The Mirror, has been told he is banished from even interacting with the first team squad at Carrington in an extraordinary development.
The winger disagreed with Erik ten Hag’s rather public criticism of the winger’s performances in training and has gone against the manager who was very patient with the former Borussia Dortmund man.
The relationship between the pair is surely broken beyond repair at this point and you would expect an amicable ending in January.
England teammate view
According to another report from The Mirror, Sancho’s England and United teammates: Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and Marcus Rashford have reportedly urged the winger to apologise.
Despite their seemingly being support from some of the United players towards the winger, the English contingent at the club have urged Sancho to apologise, whether he will or not remains to be seen.
Sancho, let’s not forget, was given space and time away from the United squad last season to get back to peak physical and mental performance but it seems that patience and faith by Ten Hag has not been rewarded.
PFA attempting to step in
According to The Times, the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) are attempting to solve the feud between the pair but whether they can help the situation or not, again, remains to be seen.
Sancho is ruthlessly being made to eat with the academy players according to The Mirror’s report and it seems the feud between the pair shows no signs of ending.
One way the situation could be de-escalated is if Sancho apologised to the former Ajax manager. However, that seems unlikely to happen at this current moment in time, so the situation rumbles on.
