Thomas Tuchel was asked about links to the Manchester United manager’s job ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup clash with Middlesbrough.
It has been reported that United are monitoring Tuchel’s situation at Stamford Bridge amid the mooted takeover of the club.
And it has also been claimed that Tuchel would be open to hearing United’s pitch to him as they look for a new permanent manager.
But as per Sky Sports, Tuchel played down the reports as he prepares his side for the final game before the international break.

“Actually no reaction at all [to the rumours],” said Tuchel when asked.
“Do you feel me less committed to the club or less involved in the club? Absolutely not.
“I have said many times that I love to be here and this club has everything it needs to make me happy. There is no need. We have plenty of reasons to stay at the moment.”

Tuchel cannot have any degree of certainty at Chelsea and that is something that United could offer him if they made a big play.
But of course, the same issues which have dogged United’s chases for every manager after Sir Alex Ferguson are still there.
There is a lack of expertise and decisiveness in the decision making process, which means that United could well miss out on the chance to unsettle Tuchel.
Time will tell, and of course Tuchel has enough on his plate right now without stoking the rumours of an exit, as he chases FA Cup and Champions League glory along with off-field issues.
