Carrick’s men have only dropped Premier League points to the Hammers, with Man Utd avoiding a shock defeat to West Ham at the London Stadium earlier this month.

Carragher’s latest prediction for the Red Devils has the Sky Sports pundit arguing that United are all but certain to finish in the top four in the 2025-26 season.
“Manchester United are virtually a guarantee [for the top four],” he said on Sky Sports.
“Aston Villa look like they’re dropping points at the moment. They’ve got the European football on a Thursday night.
“Liverpool and Chelsea are both still in the Champions League and the FA Cup, and will want to do well in at least one of those competitions – a semi-final or a final.
“I can’t see Manchester United not making it.”

United have been reduced to a 40-match season and the Red Devils’ entire focus is on their remaining 11 Premier League matches under interim head coach Carrick.
Returning to Europe, whether in the Champions League or Europa League, is a top priority for Man Utd after missing out on European football for this season.
United do have tough Premier League tests coming up in March, including visiting St James’ Park to face Newcastle and hosting third-place Aston Villa at Old Trafford.
However, United are on cloud nine after their momentum boost under Carrick in the post-Ruben Amorim era and their form has become undeniable in recent weeks.
