Real Madrid ace Vinicius Jr is a big fan of Manchester United wonderkid – Alejandro Garnacho.
United took on Real Madrid in a pre-season friendly in the USA and were granted the first-team squad‘s first loss of their campaign. Goals from Jude Bellingham and Joselu were enough for Madrid to conquer in the States.
United shouldn’t be disheartened. Pre-season is never a clear indication of overall performance. Saying this, we had a few stand-out players. Andre Onana and Aaron Wan-Bissaka in particular both impressed.
Real Madrid also had a plethora of world-class names on show, including the Brazilian mega-star this is Vinicius Jr – who turns out to be a massive fan of Alejandro Garnacho.

Vini presents Garnacho with shirt with message of admiration
There was a fantastic moment in Texas following the friendly, as the Brazilian winger came into the Red Devils changing room to present Garnacho with his signed number seven shirt.
The shirt had his signature and a touching message of admiration for the Argentine, which read:
‘Para mi hermano’ which, in Portuguese, means ‘For my brother’. It then described Garnacho as ‘el crack’, which is a Spanish football slang term for a ‘superstar player’.

Garnacho was absolutely thrilled with the gift, taking to Instagram to express his delight.
Despite being just 23, Vini Jr is one of the best wingers in world football. He possesses blistering pace, has dazzling trickery and even has an end product. He’s a complete forward.
A lot of his game is like that of United’s young Argentine. They’re both very direct, quick and have a few tricks up their sleeve.
Let’s hope his talent ID is reflective of his own performance and one-day Garnacho can reach the levels that the silky Brazilian is currently at.
