Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told Sky Sports he wants to get players signed up at Manchester United in time for pre-season.
The newly confirmed permanent manager says the club are inundated by agents who want to sign for the club.
Reading between the lines, this could be why United acted quickly to announce Solskjaer’s appointment this week, to help move ahead with negotiations.

Solskjaer admitted though that he and the club are still to decide on exactly who they want to sign.

He said: “There have been so many players that have been written about that we have been interested and there have been so many players’ agents that have been in touch with our administration that they want to come here.
“When we decide what we have to do, hopefully we will get them by preseason.”

Smart move

United’s first pre-season game is on July 13 in Australia.

The club will still be looking to do business up until the August 9 transfer deadline, but Solskjaer setting an early date to get deals done by make sense.

There is no World Cup or European Championship this summer, giving Solskjaer a lot of time to spend with his players.
Getting new additions in early to be a part of that will be really important to starting next season successfully.
