Lisandro Martinez has taken to his socials to declare he’s back in training at Carrington.
The Butcher is well and truly back! He is ecstatic to be in training and the feeling is ever so mutual. Since joining from Ajax for £56m last summer, the Argentine has become a fan favourite at Old Trafford and looks to be a star for years to come.
Lisandro Martinez was initially heavily scrutinised due to his height, but he’s proved every single doubter massively wrong and looked like he’d been playing in the league for a lifetime.
Licha then, unfortunately, suffered a season-ending injury against Sevilla in the Europa League, which left him in tears and firmly ended his 22/23 season.

The Butcher is back.
Now, he looks on to new horizons and what the 23/24 season may bring. It all begins with hard graft at the Carrington Training Complex, which is exactly the place that Martinez returned to today.
He really has made a remarkable recovery. Initially, it looked like he wouldn’t be making a return until the very start of the new campaign, but the 25-year-old has defied all odds, and now looks like he’ll be featuring in pre-season.
Another name that has returned to training today following an injury is Dean Henderson. The English goalkeeper was on loan at Nottingham Forest last season but, like Martinez, suffered a season-ending injury.
It was confirmed by Samuel Luckhurst that Henderson returned with Licha today – which is great news.
That’s two more names off Manchester United’s injury list, leaving just two left – Anthony Martial and Donny van de Beek.
Van de Beek could return soon, but Anthony Martial is still being assessed ahead of the upcoming tour.
United had really bad luck with injuries last season. Let’s hope the players stay fit for the entire duration of the pre-season and beyond.
