Sky Sports pundit says United were ‘looking for’ 20-year-old every time they got the ball v Brentford

Manchester United miraculously came from behind to beat Brentford on Saturday. But it’s Rasmus Hojlund who has been praised by Chris Boyd.

Brentford were 1-0 up for most of the game, until the 93rd minute to be precise, until Scott McTominay drew the teams level.

Just a few minute later, he added another to secure a vitally important three points for Manchester United and for Erik ten Hag.

The win ends what has been a woeful run, and helps United avoid setting a host of unwanted records.

But early in the game, one United man caught the eye with his attacking threat.

Boyd on Hojlund impact

Speaking during Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday, Chris Boyd was watching Manchester United v Brentford.

Despite United being lacklustre in the first-half, he was impressed by the display of one man.

Praising Rasmus Hojlund early on, Boyd said: “His movement is very good off the back of the Brentford centre backs, you can tell every-time United get the ball they’re looking for him.

“There’s a goal-scorer there if they can get it to him in the box.”

The issue being, little to no chances were actually created for our number nine.

Signs are there – we got a good one

Manchester United fans, staff and anyone surrounding the club will be really excited by Hojlund.

The consistency might not yet be there for him, but all the signs are there that he is going to be one of the league’s best.

Always looking like the most dangerous player and already the rest of the team are clearly looking toward him.

Hopefully we can create him some proper opportunities in the coming games to ensure he gets the goals he deserves.
