Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana’s quality is now undisputed, and he deserves a lot of credit after the draw at Crystal Palace.
It is undisputable that Manchester United were the better team against Crystal Palace and should have won.
Yet late in the game United’s dominance waned, and Palace had enough chances to grab the win themselves.
Andre Onana enabled United to leave Selhurst Park with a point, an improvement on last season’s 4-0 result at least.

Andre Onana double save
Andre Onana’s biggest moment came towards the end of the match when he saved a shot from Eddie Nketiah, before popping up to save the follow up from Ismaila Sarr.
It was an impressive moment, and one which former Arsenal striker Alan Smith claimed was better than the one Gunners goalkeeper David Raya made in midweek against Atalanta, which drew a lot of praise.
Smith told Sky Sports: “People talk about David Raya’s save. That was from a penalty, I think that [from Onana] was even better.
“That second one was incredible. Yes you need a little bit of luck, you just jump up and make yourself big, and he gets that luck, what a stop!”
Onana’s performance illustrated the growth he has made. He was solid in everything he did, a far cry from his shaky start to his career at the club.
Three clean sheets for Onana
Andre Onana has three clean sheets from five matches played this season in the Premier League.
Erik ten Hag’s decision to sign Onana as David de Gea’s replacement is now a decision which looks like it makes total sense, with the Cameroon international becoming one of United’s most reliable players.
Onana had a rest in midweek with Altay Bayindir rotated in for the Carabao Cup. It remains to be seen what the manager will do for the Europa League game against FC Twente this coming Thursday.
