Manchester United will face another Spanish team in the Europa League as ‘reward’ for knocking out Barcelona.
The Red Devils will face Real Betis, who rank fifth in the LaLiga table with 11 wins from 22 games.
Six Real Betis players to watch
We have picked out six Real Betis dangermen who Manchester United will need to be wary of…
Borja Iglesias
Real Betis’ top goalscorer is 30-year-old striker Borja Iglesias (top). He has netted nine goals in 20 La Liga games this season.
AS linked the forward with a move to West Ham last summer and his impressive form this season could see interest rise in his services again this summer.
Iglesias has been at Betis since 2019 since joining from Espanyol, and previously featured for Celta Vigo. He has one cap for Spain.
He counts Fernando Torres as his idol, La Liga reports, which is one reason for United fans to have an immediate dislike for him.
Sergio Canales
Sergio Canales was once the bright young wonderkid at Real Madrid. Nowadays he is the wily veteran leading Real Betis.
The 32-year-old has scored six goals this season, and has been in particularly great form over the past fortnight.
In his past three games Canales has three goals and two assists. He can play as a number 10 or on the right wing, and keeping him quiet is going to be a challenge.

William Carvalho
William Carvalho was linked with joining Manchester United back when David Moyes was manager. Now he will finally get to play at Old Trafford.
The defensive midfielder is a regular for Portugal, for who he has 80 international caps, knowing Bruno Fernandes well.
The battle between Carvalho and Casemiro is going to be a titanic clash which goes a long way to deciding the game.
Nabil Fekir
Nabil Fekir came close to joining Liverpool a few years back. He has since settled at Real Betis, where he is capable of winning matches all by himself.
Fekir has five goals this season which include a strike against Barcelona, and the 29-year-old will be tough to keep quiet along with Canales.
Joaquin
Joaquin is still going strong at the age of 41. The one-club man has been an incredible servant to Betis over the years and will relish the big opportunity at Old Trafford.
While he has featured mostly as a substitute this season in La Liga, Joaquin started five of Betis’s six Europa League group games, scoring once.
Ayoze Perez
A name more familiar to Premier League fans will be Ayoze Perez, formerly of Leicester City and Newcastle United. He is at Betis on a loan deal after moving in the January transfer window.
Perez has never scored against Manchester United in 13 appearances but does have three assists, and is a player the Red Devils will have to be wary of.
