Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly gave his verdict on Erik ten Hag’s signings at Manchester United according to reports.
Erik ten Hag was sacked by Manchester United on Monday after the Red Devils suffered a 2-1 defeat to West Ham United which sealed the Dutchman’s fate at Old Trafford.
Ruben Amorim looks to be the man chosen by United but in the meantime, as negotiations continue for the Portuguese manager’s backroom staff, Ruud Van Nistelrooy is set to take charge for the foreseeable for the club.
As attention now turns to what Amorim could offer the Red Devils, it has emerged what Sir Alex Ferguson has told people around him about Ten Hag’s summer signings.

Sir Alex Ferguson made feelings clear over Erik ten Hag signings
During the summer transfer window, United spent over £200 million on players under Ten Hag with Matthijs De Ligt, Leny Yoro, Joshua Zirkzee and Manuel Ugarte the biggest outlays during the summer transfer window.
It has now emerged what Ferguson really thinks of these signings made by Ten Hag, according to a report from The Athletic.
The report states that Ferguson had told friends and those close to him that some of the signings made by Ten Hag during his stint at Old Trafford would never be good enough to play for the Red Devils and below the level necessary to succeed at the club.
It is unclear who Ferguson is referring to but an educated guess could put up a few names that Ferguson is referring to.
Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe have to fix transfer recruitment
During the summer transfer window, after Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Ineos team decided to hold onto Ten Hag, the transfers sanctioned were considered smart.
Two centre-backs, a full-back, a defensive midfielder and a striker were brought in but nearly three months on, it is up for debate whether these players have been a success in England.
With Amorim set to come into the fold and mark the sixth permanent manager appointed at Old Trafford since Ferguson retired in 2013, Ineos must get things right in the transfer market.
