Sevilla are interested in Manchester United defender Alex Telles, reports Fabrizio Romano.

Romano says that Sevilla are one of two or three clubs looking at Telles, although denies that his former club Porto are one of them.

As ever, the finer details of the deal will come down to finances. It’s very possible Manchester United will have to send Telles out on loan if there is no buyer.

Telles is down the queue at left-back after Manchester United signed Tyrell Malacia to compete with Luke Shaw.

The 29-year-old has played regularly in pre-season but has frequently been utilised out of position, playing at centre-back.

In other circumstances new boss Erik ten Hag could look to keep Telles as a utility player, but it is important for United to raise funds by selling players or even freeing up wages.

Telles has ambitions to play regularly after just being recalled into Brazil’s international squad for the June internationals. He wants to earn a spot for the World Cup.

Telles may not be the only left-back leaving Manchester United this summer. Teammate Brandon Williams is also expected to leave.

Williams has not featured in any pre-season friendlies for fitness reasons, and he is well down the first team queue, behind Telles if the Brazilian were to stay.

The Mirror reported last week Brighton are keen on a deal for Williams, although it is possible other clubs get involved before the deadline too.
