Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat have been spotted in Manchester United training ahead of the clash against Sheffield United – but Casemiro is going to miss the fixture.

Bittersweet news for Manchester United here as an injury update is given on three key names.

Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat could very well be in contention to feature, whereas Casemiro has been confirmed he will miss the clash.

A big update which will give Erik ten Hag definitely something to think about.

Sergio Reguilon and Sofyan Amrabat spotted training

Positive news first, with two summer signings back in training ahead of the visit to Bramall Lane.

According to the United website, Reguilon and Amrabat were among those spotted in the group by the official photographers.

Reguilon had missed the last four Red Devils matches through injury, while Amrabat was absent from Morocco’s games against Liberia and Ivory Coast.

The pictures of them training mean they’re potentially in contention to start.

Casemiro confirmed to miss Sheffield fixture

Now the bad news, is that Casemiro is set to miss the Premier League fixture.

The £60m man has remained in Brazil, on the club’s advice, to recover as swiftly as possible from a small issue picked up while playing for his country.

He will be unavailable for Saturday’s game with the Blades but is expected back at Carrington early next week to resume training.

However, we’ll have to wait until at least the next league fixture to see him in action, as he is suspended for the Champions League encounter with FC Copenhagen.

This comes after the red card he obtained in United’s home loss to Galatasaray.

Good news and bad really. The Reguilon comeback is probably music to Ten Hag’s ears given the scarcity of a left-back at the moment.

Casemiro will obviously be a loss, but we certainly have players to vacate his position. We’ll be fine.
