Manchester United are looking to make it four consecutive wins when they travel to Nottingham Forest, but Ruben Amorim has warned his players that their upcoming opponents pose a ‘different’ threat to teams they’ve recently beaten.
Nottingham Forest have won their last three Premier League games against Manchester United, but they have not enjoyed a positive start to the season as they sit 18th in the table.
After United’s 4-2 win over Brighton, Ruben Amorim is looking to win four consecutive matches for the first time since arriving at Old Trafford.
The biggest win came when United beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield, with Harry Maguire scoring a late winner to seal three points against the reigning champions.
There has been a noticeable uplift in the mood at Old Trafford now that the team is on a winning run, but Amorim does not want any of his players getting carried away or undermining their opponents.

Amorim will be stressing the importance of United continuing their win streak when they take on Nottingham Forest.
United must try to make ground on teams like Liverpool, who have been struggling to get results of late. The only way to achieve that is by winning football matches and adding to our points tally.
Reporters were keen to ask Amorim about facing Forest now that Dyche has become manager. The United head coach confirmed that he ‘more or less’ knows what to expect after beating Dyche’s Everton side last season.
“More or less,” Amorim told reporters. “I watched the last game [4-0 win v Everton last December while Dyche was in charge], it was one of the first ones here that we won and we were so lucky in that game. You look at the result and it was not that result. It should not be that result.
“I watched [the games Dyche has taken charge of Forest in] against Porto, Bournemouth – the style of play is similar, different characteristics. I watched one game we did in pre-season with Sporting to try and understand how he played in that game, and it’s similar.”
Amorim also named three dangerous players that United will need to be wary of against Forest, including United-linked Elliot Anderson. He warned the squad that they will need to be prepared for a ‘different’ challenge if they are to make it four wins on the bounce.
He added: “He [Dyche] can change some characteristics of the players with the talent that they have, especially with [Morgan] Gibbs-White, [Elliot] Anderson, [Callum] Hudson-Odoi – very good players. We need to be prepared for a different game, against Brighton we had space to play. We are not going to have that space. We need to understand we are not being the same team away and at home, so we need to improve the way we control the environment, every tackle is a big moment for the opponents’ fans. So, we need to play better away. We are prepared for a very tough match.”
Chris Wood remains a doubt for Nottingham Forest
Dyche has been without Forest’s top scorer, Chris Wood, for his first two games in charge.
Wood, who has two goals to his name this season, has been out of action with a knee injury.
Dyche has confirmed that Forest will be without Wood for the clash against United.
The Forest striker has scored three goals against United throughout his career.
Forest will also be without Dilane Bakwa and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
