Ruben Amorim has waxed lyrical about one Manchester United first-team player after what he saw in the 4-1 demolition of Real Sociedad at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils punched their ticket to the quarter-finals of the Europa League after Manchester United knocked Real Sociedad out of the competition in the last 16.
United and Sociedad played a 1-1 draw at the Reale Arena in Spain last Thursday ahead of the Red Devils hosting the La Liga club at Old Trafford for the return leg.
Ruben Amorim’s men came from 1-0 down after the opening 10 minutes and Bruno Fernandes scored a sensational hat-trick for the Red Devils in the second-leg tie.
Sociedad were reduced to 10 men in the second half and Diogo Dalot would add his name to United scoresheet in injury time amid a Bruno Fernandes-inspired display.
Following United’s result against Sociedad in the second leg, the Red Devils will now face Ligue 1 outfit Lyon in the quarter-finals of the Europa League in April.

Ruben Amorim praises Ayden Heaven’s performance vs Real Sociedad and makes Man Utd prediction
Ayden Heaven has already emerged among the ranks of the Manchester United first team after the Red Devils snapped him up from rivals Arsenal in February.
Joining United’s youth academy, the 18-year-old Red Devils defender made his club debut in the FA Cup defeat to Fulham at Old Trafford earlier this month.
Ayden Heaven then secured valuable first-team minutes against former side Arsenal after he came off the bench in United’s 1-1 draw with Gunners at Old Trafford.
United manager Ruben Amorim turned to the former Arsenal talent and made the big call to start Heaven in the crucial second-leg last-16 tie against Real Sociedad.
Heaven impressed United fans with his performance on Thursday evening and the United centre-back saw out the full 90 minutes in Amorim’s tactical system.
Speaking ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Leicester City, Amorim predicted that Heaven could play more matches under him if he continues to impress.
“If he continues like that, he is going to play,” he said at his pre-match press conference, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“Of course, he is young and he didn’t play much this season, maybe only 45 minutes for the Under-21s, then a few minutes here and now a full game.
“I really like his confidence. I like his pace; I think he is good [at] defending [in] the box and I think he is quite complete.
“But he has a lot of work to do in the Premier League. We will face a different kind of player and he will be tested in a different kind of way, so we are trying to manage all of this because he is still really young.”
Ruben Amorim sends clear message to all Man Utd players over Leicester City match
Amorim said that he has no intention of underestimating Leicester City and wants his United players to treat the match in the same way they did against Real Sociedad.
“Everything is important and we need to continue with this feeling that we can win games,” he explained.
“It doesn’t matter the time of rest or the time after to prepare for the next game. We can do it.
“We showed against Arsenal that we have to be humble and we [often] forget that. Forget the table and face Leicester like we did today against Real Sociedad.
“We just need to win and improve our position in the table and the most important thing is to continue this feeling of winning and that we are improving as a team.”
United will travel to the King Power Stadium on the weekend for their encounter with Ruud van Nistelrooy’s men, with kick-off slated for 7pm UK time on Sunday.
