Ruben Amorim handed potential blow after Manchester derby win, Man Utd star spotted limping

The mood in Carrington on Monday will be jubilation after Manchester United’s brilliant 2-1 victory over Manchester City.

Ruben Amorim claimed his first big win since becoming the head coach at Old Trafford when he masterminded a 2-1 win over Manchester City.

Having went 1-0 down, some may have been expecting Manchester United to rack up a third successive defeat. But it was Amad Diallo who had other thoughts about this.

Gary Neville has waxed lyrical about Amad in the aftermath of the derby win.

Amad was the main catalyst in the win, scoring the winner and winning the penalty which drew the Red Devils equal.

Now, amid the celebrations, there could be a reason for negativity.

Noussair Mazraoui leaves Old Trafford with a limp

Little could possibly halt the joy Amorim will be experiencing right now after watching his United claim a deserved victory over City.

However, an injury to Noussair Mazraoui would be one thing that may dampen his spirits.

Despite seeing out the game, Manchester Evening News journalist Steven Railston spotted the Moroccan walking with a limp.

He tweeted: “Noussair Mazraoui was limping as he left the dressing room. Hopefully nothing serious”.

This hope is one shared throughout the fanbase as Mazraoui has been sensational for United this season.

Against City was no different.

Mazraoui was excellent for Manchester United

We are hoping Mazraoui is okay, and it is just a slight problem which he will recover from before Thursday’s game against Tottenham.

Mazraoui was deployed as the right wing-back against City, differing from his usual central defender role. But he was no less brilliant.

The 27-year-old is the best signing United have made in years and it is still incredible that he cost just £12.8m.

Mazraoui can do a job anywhere in the back five for United and he is an invaluable member of the squad. Let’s hope he is fit to play on Thursday against Tottenham.
