Bruno Fernandes remains one of Manchester United’s most important players.
It has been a dire season for Manchester United as the negatives outweigh the positives.
Although the Premier League table is a frightening sight, with United sitting 15th, the team still looks to Bruno Fernandes to pull them out of trouble.
The 30-year-old committed his future to United by signing a new deal ahead of the season.
Still a force in the final third, Fernandes hit double figures after his goal against Everton helped his teammates clinch a point after trailing by two goals on Saturday. This means Fernandes has reached double figures for goals and assists in each of his five seasons at Old Trafford.
In recent weeks, the Portuguese Magnifico has dropped to a deeper midfield position as Ruben Amorim navigates the team around an injury crisis.
Amorim has only been at United for approximately four months but he already knows he can trust Fernandes more than other players.

Ruben Amorim explains Bruno Fernandes character
Amorim took over a United first-team squad containing two Portugal internationals.
The former Sporting CP coach has made use of both Diogo Dalot and Fernandes since arriving at Old Trafford, although the former has not performed particularly well this season.
Fernandes remains United’s most important player, with Amorim has described him as a “blessing”.
“I think he’s [Fernandes] a blessing,” Amorim told MUTV. “Of course, he has that character, which is sometimes hard for people to understand.
“But I really like him, he’s a very good player. He works really well and is always available, so he is the kind of player this club needs.
“You can feel it. He is a player that can do something.”
Fernandes showcased his importance in United’s 2-2 draw with Everton because it was his late goal that inspired the comeback.
United will likely be reliant on Fernandes again tonight when they host Ipswich Town.
Bruno Fernandes’ key trait is lacking throughout Man Utd squad
Amorim’s quotes are telling because he hails one of Fernandes’ greatest traits, which is his availability.
Former United manager Erik ten Hag experienced a crippling injury crisis during his time at United, and it has not taken long for Amorim to encounter his first.
Amad Diallo and Lisandro Martinez are expected to be ruled out for the remainder of the season, while Luke Shaw and Mason Mount remain on the treatment table.
Fernandes, who is rarely injured, has already made 38 appearances this season.
Fellow Portugal international Dalot shares the same trait but United would have less problems if more players could follow suit.
