Manchester United legend Roy Keane has issued a damning verdict on Erik ten Hag following last night’s dull win over Wigan.
As Manchester United opened their FA Cup campaign on Monday night, it took an outside-of-the-box Diogo Dalot finish and Bruno Fernandes penalty to overcome League One Wigan 2-0.
This shouldn’t have been the case though, with the chances to score more, only for poor finishing – a common issue – to let down the side.
Rasmus Hojlund was most at fault however with such a gulf in quality, United should’ve had countless clear-cut chances, but they didn’t.
This left Roy Keane to be less than impressed in the ITV studio at full time. Here he dropped a damning verdict on Erik ten Hag.

Speaking on ITV during the post-match coverage, Keane wasn’t happy with just a win and he made it known, launching a verdict on Ten Hag which the Dutch boss won’t like.
Keane began by explaining: “I don’t think they play as a team.”
He then continued to say: “The manager mentions a project… probably means he’ll be gone in a few months.”
The few months verdict is what is quite telling right now as United remain in awful form – despite winning here – with performances at a worryingly low level.

United faced Wigan with a full strength – of players available – line-up and yet the game could easily have been between two sides of the same level.
Only a few players looked a level above their opponents – Alejandro Garnacho, Kobbie Mainoo and Dalot in particular.
It creates a concerning predicament for Ten Hag who will absolutely be aware of the issues currently afoot in his team.
Keane may be a little harsh to say he’ll probably be gone soon, but unless things improve – he’s probably right.
