Benjamin Sesko climbed off the bench on Monday evening and the 22-year-old striker broke the deadlock for Manchester United against Everton.

The Slovenia international opened the scoring off the back of a superb Man Utd counterattack, with Sesko’s strike ensuring the Red Devils sealed all three points.

Speaking on The Overlap’s Stick to Football podcast, Ian Wright and Roy Keane both admitted that Crystal Palace have had success against United at Old Trafford.

“Palace always do well there,” Wright said.

Keane echoed: “Palace always do well there.”

However, United legend Keane suggested that the Red Devils should have the upper hand against Palace in their latest Premier League encounter on Sunday.

“United have got to beat Palace, surely? Palace got that big win [a 1-0 victory over 10-man Wolves] last week. That will relax them.”

Wright added: “I think this game might be a bridge too far [for Palace].”

Keane stepped up for his team – consisting of Jill Scott and Arsenal legend Wright – by backing the Red Devils to beat Crystal Palace at Old Trafford at the weekend.

Speaking on the match, he predicted: “United at home. I’m going to say… I’m going to give them 2-0 or 2-1. 3[-0]?”

Wright agreed that United would come out on top and the former Arsenal and England striker expects Sesko to make a huge impact in the Palace match.

“Nah, I think I would give them more,” he said.

“I think Sesko’s going to nick a couple in this. Sesko’s got to start as well. If Sesko scores two, can we get extra points?”

Sky Sports pundit Keane put his foot down and made the final prediction for the Premier League fixture, with United tipped to beat Palace by a 2-0 scoreline.

“You know, 2-0,” he said.

“I’ve done one yet. They’ve done all those [the other predictions].”

Sesko has not started any of Michael Carrick’s six Premier League matches in charge as interim head coach since the Man Utd legend returned to Old Trafford in January.
